Who We Are

AI Hair Makeover ("we", "us") runs the website aihairmakeover.com, where you upload a portrait photo and use AI to preview new hairstyles, haircuts and hair colors on yourself. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

1. Account information — When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. If you sign up with email and password, we store your password in a protected (hashed) form. If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive basic profile information from that provider, such as your name and email address.
2. Sign-in sessions — Records that keep you signed in, which may include your IP address and browser type.
3. Photos you upload — Portrait photos you upload to try on a hairstyle (JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB each).
4. Generated results — The edited images our AI creates from your photos, along with the style you picked and the status of each generation.
5. Credits and purchases — Your credit balance and usage, and records of your orders and subscriptions (plan, amount, date and status). Card and payment details are handled by our payment processors; we do not store full card numbers.
6. Messages you send us — If you email us or contact support, we keep that conversation so we can help you.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and run your account and keep you signed in.
• Generate the hairstyle edits you ask for and show them in your account history.
• Track your credits, process payments and keep purchase records.
• Send account-related emails, such as password resets.
• Answer your questions and support requests.
• Keep the service secure and prevent fraud and abuse.
• Understand how the website is used so we can improve it, if analytics is enabled.

How Your Photos Are Processed

• Storage. Photos you upload and the results we generate are stored in our cloud object storage (Cloudflare R2).
• AI processing. To create the edit you requested, we send your photo to our AI image-processing provider, KIE.ai, which runs Google's image-editing models. We send it solely to generate the hairstyle edit you asked for and do not use your photos for any other purpose.
• Your history. Generated results are saved in the same storage and listed in your account history so you can view and download them later.
• Links to files. Each stored file is reachable through its own long, hard-to-guess web address. Anyone who has that exact link can open the file, so only share result links with people you want to see them.

Who We Share Information With

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the website, and only for that purpose:

• Cloudflare — hosting and storage of uploaded photos and generated results (Cloudflare R2).
• KIE.ai — AI image processing, using Google's image-editing models, to generate your hairstyle edits.
• Payment processors (Stripe and/or other third-party processors) — to handle checkout, billing and refunds.
• Sign-in providers (Google, GitHub) — only if you choose to sign in with them.
• Analytics providers (Google Analytics and/or Plausible) — only if analytics is enabled on the website.

These providers handle data under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety or property of our users or ourselves.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

• Sign-in cookies — keep you signed in to your account.
• Language preference — the PARAGLIDE_LOCALE cookie remembers which language you chose.
• Analytics (optional) — if analytics is enabled, Google Analytics and/or Plausible may set or use cookies to measure visits and page usage.

Where a cookie consent banner is shown, you can accept or decline optional cookies there and change your choice later through the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, but you may not be able to stay signed in without them.

Keeping and Deleting Your Data

Your uploaded photos and generated results stay in storage and in your account history so you can come back to them.

You can ask us to delete your photos, your results or your whole account at any time by emailing support@aihairmakeover.com from the email address on your account. We will delete the requested data within a reasonable time. We may keep limited records, such as payment records, where we need them to meet legal or accounting obligations.

Security

We use HTTPS to protect data in transit and limit access to stored data to what is needed to run the service. No online service can be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information.

Your Rights and Choices

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy.
• Correct information that is wrong.
• Delete your photos, results or account.

To make a request, email support@aihairmakeover.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Processing in Other Countries

Our service providers may process and store data in countries other than the one you live in. By using the service, you understand that your information may be handled outside your country.

Photos of Other People and Minors

Only upload photos of yourself or of people who have agreed to it. Do not upload photos of minors unless you are their parent or guardian or have their guardian's consent. If you believe a photo of you or your child was uploaded without permission, email us and we will remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we may also let you know through the website or by email.
